This is sketchbook I made last year while contemplating what I thought spinning really meant. Sort of a visual scrapbook to help me understand the metaphoric nature of spinning, I guess. I was also thinking a lot about myth and memory. I like to collect images and bits of information that help me better understand the complex pattern they form through association.
I find notes really helpful to my work, and I find collections of notes really interesting so I've decided to document them and post them to my blog. This is the first example of my notes and there will be more to come.

(I also realize that the centre of the earth is probably molten, the crystal theory is just so romantic. Plus I dig geometric shapes.)
